Two Arrested After Woman in Her 70s Killed in Fatal A52 Crash

Two men have been arrested following a fatal crash that claimed the life of a woman in her 70s on the A52 in Nottinghamshire on Friday night.

Emergency services rushed to the scene near the Nurseryman pub at around 10:20pm, where the woman was tragically pronounced dead following a collision involving a car.

A 26-year-old and a 43-year-old man have both been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, according to Nottinghamshire Police.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit have launched a full investigation and are appealing to the public for any relevant information or footage that could help determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

“This was a tragic incident and our thoughts are with the woman’s family at an incredibly difficult time.

They will be supported by officers as inquiries into the incident continue.

We are at a very early stage in our investigation and it is important anyone with any information, or relevant dashcam, CCTV, doorbell, or mobile phone footage gets in touch without delay.”
