Who is Freddie Mercury’s daughter? Know about Queen singer’s secret child

A stunning revelation has emerged in a new biography titled Love, Freddie, which claims that Queen frontman Freddie Mercury had a secret daughter. The book reveals that Mercury fathered a child during an affair in 1976 and remained in contact with her until his death in 1991.

The woman, now a 48-year-old medical professional living in Europe, is identified only as “B” to protect her privacy. She was born from an affair Mercury had with the wife of a close friend. According to the biography, the legendary rock star kept in touch with B throughout her life and even entrusted her with 17 personal diaries he had written over the years.

In a heartfelt handwritten letter published in the book, B writes, “Freddie Mercury was and is my father. We shared a very close, loving relationship from the moment I was born through to the final 15 years of his life. He adored and was deeply devoted to me… He cherished me like a prized treasure.”

These diaries, written between 1976 and 1991, include Mercury’s reflections on his early years in Zanzibar, his life in India, and his rise to international fame with Queen. The first entry was made on June 20, 1976, shortly after learning of the pregnancy. This came just two days after the release of Queen’s iconic single You’re My Best Friend.

B chose to remain silent for over 30 years, guarding both her identity and the intimate writings of her father. However, she said the time has now come for Freddie Mercury’s own voice to be heard.

“After more than three decades of secrecy, misinformation, and speculation, it’s time for Freddie to tell his own story,” she writes. “Those who knew about me remained loyal to him by keeping his biggest secret… He entrusted his private notebooks to me, his only child and rightful heir.”

Biographer Lesley-Ann Jones, who had previously written about Mercury, confirmed that B approached her three years ago. At first skeptical, Jones said she is now convinced that B’s story is authentic.

“She didn’t ask for money, fame, or attention. She just wanted her father’s truth to come out. After seeing the diaries and hearing her story, I believe her,” Jones told the Daily Mail.

Mercury, born Farrokh Bulsara on September 5, 1946, passed away on November 24, 1991, at the age of 45 due to complications related to AIDS. His final diary entry was written on July 31, 1991.

This revelation adds a new chapter to the life of one of music’s most iconic figures and may forever change how fans and historians remember Freddie Mercury—not just as a rock legend, but as a devoted father as well.
