iPhone 17 rumors: specs, features, price, and launch details

After months of waiting, Apple fans are finally getting excited again as the new iPhone 17 series is expected to launch this September.

Early leaks have already started spreading, especially after many users felt let down by the recent iPhone 16e release.

According to rumors, Apple plans to release four models this time: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and a brand-new version called the “iPhone 17 Air.”

The use of the “Air” name hints at a possible change in Apple’s regular naming style. Reports suggest this model could be slimmer and lighter than the usual iPhones, as noted by Financial Express.

The upcoming iPhone 17 series is expected to come with big improvements. One major upgrade could be 12GB of RAM, which would be a jump from the 8GB RAM in the iPhone 16 series. This extra memory, combined with Apple Intelligence and AI features, could make the phone faster and smarter.

The standard iPhone 17 is also expected to use Apple’s new A19 chip, built with advanced 3nm technology. While not as powerful as the A19 Pro chip in the Pro models, it should still deliver better speed, longer battery life, and improved energy efficiency.

On the camera side, the iPhone 17 may get a big upgrade too, with a 24MP front camera — a big jump from past models. It might also include a mechanical aperture system, which helps the camera handle different lighting conditions more effectively.

The starting price of the iPhone 17 in India is expected to be around INR 89,900, while the high-end iPhone 17 Pro Max could cost up to Rs1,64,900. In the US, prices may start at around $899.

Keep in mind, Apple hasn’t officially confirmed the exact release date for the iPhone 17 series yet — but all signs point to a September launch.
