PM meets Zardari
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with President Asif Ali Zardari at Governor House, Lahore.
The meeting discussed the overall political and security situation in the country.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister’s recent visits to friendly countries were discussed, while matters related to cooperation between political alliance parties were also discussed.
The meeting was attended by Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan and Senator Saleem Mandviwala.
Earlier, members of the Punjab Assembly belonging to the Pakistan People’s Party met with President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari.
The news sources reported that during the meeting, some members of the Punjab Assembly complained about the poor attitude of the provincial government.
The members said that we are not even allowed to go to the 8 Club, PML-N MPAs are present in the 8 Club, our work is not given the same importance as that given to PML-N MPAs, how can we prepare for the local body elections, our plans are extremely slow.
The assembly members complained that the government’s attitude towards us is not fair, that 2 percent of the work is done out of 100, and that too after repeated promises. There are countless people in our constituencies who have not even received a rash card, they are tired of being pushed around.
They said that the PML-N members get the name of whoever they want included. There are also people who have rented out their houses and 4 to 5 people in the house are also receiving monthly payments. What kind of transparency system is this?
