Gold Prices Soar in Pakistan After Global Market Surge – June 5, 2025
Gold Price Increases by Rs1,465 Per Tola in Pakistan
On Thursday, June 5, 2025, gold prices in Pakistan jumped sharply following a strong rise in the global market. This sudden spike ended the short period of price stability seen a day earlier.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold rose by Rs4,300 per tola, bringing the new rate to Rs358,400 per tola. Likewise, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs3,687, making the new rate Rs307,270.
This change represents a significant increase compared to Wednesday, when gold rates had remained unchanged in the local market.
The increase in Pakistan follows a similar trend in the international gold market, where prices climbed by $43, reaching $3,400 per ounce, including a $20 premium, according to APGJSA.
Silver prices in Pakistan also saw a boost. The rate for silver rose by Rs159 per tola, pushing the new price to Rs3,745 per tola.
Jewellers and market analysts say the rise in prices is due to strong global demand and continued economic uncertainty, which often drives investors toward precious metals.
