Pakistan Stands with Iran, Condemns Israeli Aggression

Israeli Aggression
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong support for Iran, condemning Israel’s recent strikes as “unprovoked” and a violation of Iranian sovereignty.
In a phone call with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, PM Sharif expressed heartfelt condolences for the lives lost and emphasized Iran’s right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter.
Reflecting shared concerns, Pakistan had already supported Iran during an emergency UN Security Council session. The premier called Israel’s actions a serious threat to both regional and global stability and denounced Israel’s continuing campaign in Gaza as “genocidal.”
Pakistan urged the international community and the UN to intervene and end Israel’s aggression, while affirming its own commitment to regional peace. President Pezeshkian thanked Pakistan for its solidarity, calling it evidence of the two nations’ close ties, and stressed the need for Islamic countries to unite against these threats.
The current conflict began with Israeli airstrikes targeting Iran’s military and nuclear leadership, allegedly killing top commanders. Iran responded with a massive missile barrage that reportedly overwhelmed parts of Israel’s Iron Dome. As both nations plan further military actions, the risk of a broader regional escalation looms.
