If you’re a Pakistani citizen and 18 years old or above, you need to have a Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC). This card is issued by NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority).
It’s used for many important things like getting a driving license, passport, opening a bank account, buying a SIM card, and more.
What Is a CNIC?
A CNIC is a secure ID card that comes with a unique 13-digit number. It proves your identity across the country. This card also helps in healthcare and education — for example, verifying your identity in hospitals or school admissions.
