Thousands of citizens receiving support through the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) and Ehsaas are falling victim to fake websites pretending to offer official services. These fraudulent portals use names like “Ehsaas Payment Update” and “8171 CNIC Check Online” to gain public trust, but in reality, they are designed to steal personal and financial information.
Fake Alert: These 8171 Portals Are Not From BISP Or Ehsaas
These scam websites falsely claim to check eligibility for government aid. They trick people—especially those with limited digital knowledge—into entering sensitive details by using bold thumbnails and government-style design to appear legitimate.
Fake Portals Exposed
Scam sites such as www.bispehsaaspa, cmp-punjab.com.pk, and 8171ehsaasprogramme.com.pk have been reported for phishing personal data. Once a user clicks their content, they are asked for CNIC numbers, phone numbers, and even financial details. These sites then generate fake PMT (Proxy Means Test) scores to appear authentic.
Despite clear misuse of public trust, “these 8171 FAKE portals are not authorized by any agency or financial institution.”
How They Mislead
These sites copy the design and language of real BISP or Ehsaas platforms. Their goal is to harvest data, not to provide accurate aid-related information. With the government and FIA slow to respond, these scams continue to spread, especially targeting vulnerable communities.

Where to Find Real 8171 Info
According to BISP officials, “there is no online portal for checking BISP eligibility or PMT scores.” The only official way is to send your CNIC number via SMS to 8171.
How to Stay Safe
These fake sites often rank high in search results due to SEO tricks and are shared widely on social media. If you see a site asking for personal info, report it immediately to PTA or FIA’s Cybercrime Wing. Fake government-lookalike portals are a serious threat and must be shut down.
Stay cautious and always verify through official government channels.
