PSX Hits Historic High, KSE-100 Index Surpasses 142,000 Points

KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange witnessed a historic rally on the first trading day of the week, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index surpassing the 142,000-point mark for the first time.

The index recorded a significant gain of over 1,100 points, reaching an all-time high of 142,174 points during intraday trading.

This surge follows last week’s strong performance, when the KSE-100 Index closed at a then-record level of 141,034 points, marking an increase of 1,644 points on the final trading day.

In a related development, the Pakistani Rupee slightly appreciated in the interbank market. The US dollar declined by 12 paisas, dropping from Rs. 282.72 to Rs. 282.60.
