Who Is Asif Qureshi? Actor Huma Qureshi’s Cousin Killed in Dehli

Delhi, August 8, 2025 — Asif Qureshi, 42, actor Huma Qureshi’s paternal cousin, was fatally stabbed in South Delhi’s Bhogal area after a quarrel over parking a scooter outside his home. Police say the incident took place around 10:30 pm on Thursday, August 7.

Two suspects, identified as Ujjwal (19) and Gautam (18), have been arrested. CCTV footage shows the pair attacking Qureshi during the altercation.

How the Incident Happened

According to the Delhi Police, the dispute began when a neighbour parked a scooter directly in front of Qureshi’s home. His wife, Shaheen, said that when her husband asked them to move the vehicle, they hurled abuses and threatened to return.

Within minutes, one of the men came back with his brother and allegedly stabbed Qureshi with a sharp weapon. Shaheen immediately called her brother-in-law, Javed, but by the time he arrived, Qureshi had lost too much blood and could not be saved.

Family Reaction

Huma Qureshi’s father, Saleem Qureshi, said the attack stemmed from a simple request not to park in front of the house. “They were two — together they killed my nephew,” he told reporters.

Asif Qureshi, son of Ilyas Qureshi, ran a chicken business in Delhi and was married to two women. He is survived by both wives and other family members.

Police Action and Legal Case

The Delhi Police have registered a case under sections 103(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The body has been sent for post-mortem, and further investigation is ongoing.

Actor Huma Qureshi has not yet issued a public statement on the killing.
