Federal Secretary Finance Imdadullah Bosal to Be Appointed as Director at World Bank

The Prime Minister has approved the appointment of Imdadullah Bosal Bosal, Federal Secretary Finance, as Director at the World Bank, according to sources.

Despite efforts by Secretary Economic Affairs Kazim Niaz to secure a position at the World Bank, he was unsuccessful, sources revealed.

Imdadullah is regarded as a very close and trusted bureaucrat of the Prime Minister.

Following Bosal’s appointment, three candidates have emerged for the position of Federal Secretary Finance. Among them are Dr. Fakhar Alam, Secretary Power Division, and Hamid Yaqoob Sheikh.

Sources also indicate that Kazim Niaz could be considered for the important post of Federal Secretary Finance.

The appointment of the new Secretary Finance will be made in consultation with Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb.

The Prime Minister will take the final decision on the appointment, sources confirmed.
