Who is Ravi Ghai? Grandfather of Saaniya Chandok, Arjun Tendulkar’s Fiancée

Arjun Tendulkar, the son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, recently got engaged to Saaniya Chandok in a private ceremony. Since then, many fans have been curious about Saaniya’s family background. She is the granddaughter of Ravi Ghai, a well-known business tycoon in India.

Who is Ravi Ghai?

Ravi Ghai is the head of the Graviss Group, a famous company known for its work in hospitality and food industries. His family is linked with well-known brands like the InterContinental Hotel in Mumbai and the ice-cream brand Brooklyn Creamery.

Ravi Ghai graduated from the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration in the United States. After finishing his studies, he returned to India in 1967 and took over the family business from his father, Iqbal Krishan Ghai.

Under his leadership, the company launched Kwality Ice Cream, which became a popular brand in India. Ravi Ghai also brought the Baskin-Robbins ice-cream franchise to the SAARC region, expanding the brand’s reach.

Currently, Ravi Ghai is the Non-Executive Chairman of Graviss Hospitality Ltd. He also holds important positions in other companies such as Kwality Read Estates Pvt Ltd and Perfect Livestock LLP.

In the financial year 2023-24, Graviss Food Solutions Pvt Ltd reported revenues of ₹624 crore, showing a growth of 20% from the previous year.
