PM Thanks China for Supporting Pakistan Agriculture
Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has said that agriculture is the backbone of Pakistan’s economy and the transfer of modern agricultural technology from China is a top priority for his government.
Speaking at a ceremony, the Prime Minister said that young students from across the country have been selected on merit for specialized training in the agriculture sector. He added that a 10% additional quota for Balochistan was reserved in the training program, similar to the laptop scheme, where the province also received a greater share.
Shehbaz Sharif expressed happiness that the first batch of 300 Pakistani students has returned from China after completing their training. He said Pakistan would benefit greatly from China’s vast agricultural experience, which will help modernize the sector.
He further thanked the Chinese leadership for extending opportunities to Pakistani youth, calling China Pakistan’s most trusted and reliable friend.
Reaffirming his government’s commitment, the Prime Minister said his vision is to work day and night to build Pakistan as envisioned by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
