FBR suspend QR Code requirement for IRIS login
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has suspended the requirement of using a QR code to log in to the IRIS system.
This decision came after a complaint was filed with the Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO) Regional Secretariat in Peshawar. The complaint highlighted that many taxpayers were facing problems while trying to access the system through QR code authentication.
After reviewing the issue, the FBR confirmed that the QR code step is no longer needed. Now, taxpayers can log in to IRIS more easily without going through this extra process.
Officials said this move will make the system simpler and more user-friendly, helping taxpayers use IRIS without unnecessary difficulties.
