Aishwarya Rai Approaches Delhi High Court Over Circulation of Her AI-Generated Obscene Content
Bollywood actress and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court, seeking action against the spread of obscene, morphed, and AI-generated content that falsely uses her name and image.
As per Indian media reports, the Ponniyin Selvan actress has requested the court to issue an injunction to stop individuals and online platforms from circulating explicit material that misuses her identity.
Representing Rai, senior advocate Sandeep Sethi stated that intimate photos being shared online are fabricated and not authorised by her.
“These are completely AI-generated images and not of Aishwarya Rai,” Sethi informed the court. He added that her likeness is being misused for both financial and sexual exploitation, describing the situation as “deeply unfortunate.”
Rai has frequently been targeted with fake visuals online, including morphed and explicit content widely circulated on social media.
The case is set to be heard before the joint registrar on November 7, with a full hearing scheduled for January 15, 2026. Authorities have reportedly received a list of the websites and platforms involved, and further action is expected.
The issue of AI-generated and morphed content affecting public figures has become increasingly common in India. Celebrities such as Rashmika Mandanna, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Shah Rukh Khan have also faced similar misuse of their images online, leading to trolling and widespread public attention.
