Snapchat Launches Permanent Chats and Group Streaks
Snapchat Launches Permanent Chats and Group Streaks
Snapchat has announced two big updates that users have been requesting for years.
The first is called Infinite Retention, which lets people keep chat history forever instead of watching it disappear. Many users wanted to save conversations with close friends and groups, and now they can.
Before this, messages could only be saved one by one by tapping them. With the new option, you can set an entire chat to stay permanent. The other person in the chat will be notified and can choose to turn it off. This means you can keep chats permanent with your best friends, but still keep casual chats temporary.
The second new feature is Group Streaks. Instead of just one-on-one streaks, now a whole group of friends can work together to maintain a streak. Since multiple people can send Snaps, it’s easier to keep the streak going. If a Group Streak does break, Snapchat will give users up to one week to restore it.
These changes make Snapchat more flexible and fun, giving users more control over how they want to save chats and stay connected with friends.
