Karachi: Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab has assured the public that his administration is committed to solving the city’s problems and delivering results. Speaking about recent concerns, he said those who do not work in their own areas only spread disappointment.

The mayor highlighted the construction of the Mehran Highway, stating that although the project is complete, its official inauguration has not yet taken place. He also addressed claims made during the recent rainy days that Shahrah-e-Bhutto was flooded, saying he personally inspected the site and found the reports to be inaccurate.

Wahab emphasized that some people engage in one-sided propaganda against the city government. He also mentioned ongoing efforts to renovate Karachi’s Old Market as part of improving city infrastructure.

Highlighting achievements, the mayor spoke about a flyover worth 1.6 billion rupees, calling it a proof of the administration’s hard work. He said this new flyover will help reduce traffic accidents, especially those caused near railway lines where many accidents occur.

Mayor Wahab also noted the important role of cattle colonies in supplying milk across Karachi.

The mayor’s remarks come amid ongoing efforts to improve Karachi’s infrastructure and public services.
