London, 26 September 2025: Strictly Come Dancing has announced a last-minute change to the lineup. Amber Davies Joins Strictly Come Dancing 2025

Amber, 28, will now partner with professional dancer Nikita Kuzmin. She will make her debut in the first live show tomorrow night, Saturday, September 27. Despite the short notice, Amber said she is ready to give her best.

She shared her excitement, saying: “This has been the craziest 24 hours of my life. I’ve watched Strictly with my family for years. To now be part of the show is a dream come true. I’m sending Dani well wishes and I hope I do her proud.”

Who is Amber Davies?

Amber first rose to fame in 2017 when she won Love Island alongside Kem Cetinay. The pair dated for a few months before going their separate ways.

Her journey in entertainment began earlier. She trained at the Urdang Academy in London and later worked as a dancer at Cirque Le Soir nightclub. She also performed as a backing singer on ITV’s The X Factor.

After Love Island, her acting career took off. She has starred in popular West End productions such as Pretty Woman, 9 to 5: The Musical, The Great Gatsby, and Back to the Future: The Musical. Next year, she will headline the UK tour of Legally Blonde as Elle Woods.

Amber has also worked in TV and media. She created her own documentary, Amber and Dolly: 9 to 5, and hosts a podcast series called Call To Stage. She appeared in the CBBC drama Almost Never and competed on Dancing on Ice last year.

Dani Dyer Leaves Strictly After Injury

On Tuesday evening, Dani Dyer confirmed her exit. She explained that she injured her ankle during rehearsals and was later diagnosed with a fracture.

In her emotional statement, Dani said: “I thought I had rolled my foot, but it swelled up. After an MRI scan, it turns out I have fractured my ankle. The doctors have said I am not allowed to dance. To say I’m heartbroken is an understatement.”

She added that she will miss performing with her partner Nikita but will cheer for all the contestants.
