Ishaq Dar Chairs Meeting to Boost Pakistan’s Trade and Export Promotion Agenda

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired an inter-ministerial meeting to advance Pakistan’s trade and export promotion agenda.

The meeting focused on strengthening trade facilitation, improving the quality and competitiveness of Pakistani products, expanding market access and diversifying exports.

Ishaq Dar emphasised the need for greater utilisation of GSP+ opportunities in the European Union to enhance Pakistan’s exports and expand access to international markets.

The Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to a coordinated, whole-of-government approach to promoting exports and strengthening economic ties through sustained engagement with international partners.

Federal ministries and provincial governments were directed to maintain momentum on key measures aimed at supporting exports and enhancing Pakistan’s trade potential.

The meeting was attended by SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Federal Secretaries for Foreign Affairs, Commerce, Human Rights and Law, as well as senior federal and provincial government officials.
