29 September, 2025 13:13

The National Savings Centre Muzaffarabad is set to conduct the fourth draw for the Rs750 prize bond next month, on October 15, 2025. Holders of this denomination eagerly await the results, which will be announced at 10:00 am during the draw event.

Prize bonds in Pakistan offer a government-backed, interest-free investment opportunity, enabling individuals to participate in regular draws with a chance to win substantial cash prizes while preserving their initial investment. These bonds, designed to comply with Islamic financial principles, provide a low-risk investment option and support government funding efforts.

Additionally, prize bonds promote financial inclusion by encouraging formal documentation and improving digital accessibility for investors. The draws are jointly managed by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and the National Savings Organization.

For the upcoming draw, the first prize winner will receive Rs1,500,000, while three second prize winners will be awarded Rs500,000 each.

In the previous draw held in July 2025, the first prize was won by the holder of prize bond number 953346. The second prize winners included bond numbers 294897, 651248, and 965105.

Regarding taxation, the federal government has increased withholding tax rates on prize bond winnings and profit on debt as of July 2025. According to the official notification, filers will be subject to a 15 percent withholding tax on prize bond winnings, whereas non-filers will face a higher rate of 30 percent.

The upcoming draw is expected to attract widespread attention from investors eager to try their luck and benefit from this secure investment tool.
