Apple Removes ICE-Tracking Apps

The incident also follows another controversy involving ICE. On October 2, Apple confirmed it had removed all ICE-tracking apps, including the popular ICEBlock app, from its App Store. ICEBlock reportedly had more than one million downloads before being taken down. Apple explained that law enforcement raised concerns over safety risks.

Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi supported Apple’s decision. She argued that such apps endangered ICE officers and encouraged violence against law enforcement.
