Darius Rucker and Emily Deahl are officially engaged, as announced through social media on October 8, 2025. The engagement news came just a month after the couple made their relationship public. The pair also share an age gap of 26 years.

Rucker’s 33-year-old fiancée, Emily Deahl, is a well-known online personality, particularly popular on TikTok. She is also a singer, best recognized for her single My Baby Hates Me, which holds a streaming record on Spotify.

The couple’s joint Instagram post featured two black-and-white photos. The first captured the moment Rucker proposed to Deahl, showing her smiling while he knelt with his back to the camera. The second image showed Rucker kissing Deahl as she smiled and displayed her engagement ring.

In the caption, Rucker expressed his gratitude, writing that Deahl had brought him a kind of happiness he had never known. He added:

Deahl reshared the post on her Instagram Story, writing that she had never wanted to keep their relationship a secret. She explained that love felt “sacred” to her and added:

“All I wanted to do was protect it. But damn I’m glad I don’t have to spend the time photoshopping him out of every photo now.”

All About Darius Rucker and Emily Deahl’s Relationship

Rucker and Deahl’s relationship first drew public attention when the Wagon Wheel singer posted a selfie with her on Instagram on September 8, 2025. The picture was taken near the Sphere arena in Las Vegas.

Although Rucker had kept the relationship private for some time, Deahl had seemingly hinted at it earlier. In an April 2025 TikTok video, she joked about trying to remember the songs she wrote about “hating men,” saying she missed her “man.”

In January 2025, Rucker, known for his role in Shallow Hal, moved to London. Coincidentally, Deahl also relocated to the city around the same time, as revealed in a vlog on her YouTube channel.

A few months later, Rucker clarified in an interview with People magazine that his move to London was temporary. He explained that he wanted “a different flavor” while working on his upcoming album.

He said, “I’m working on my album, I’m sure my single’s going to be coming out here soon, you know, and I’m ready for people to hear that. I’m looking forward to finishing my record and getting that out. I think it’s refreshing, it’s new. I think my fans are gonna be really, really excited.”
