Is Montana 700 Arrest Video Real? The Truth Behind Viral Claims

14 October, 2025 17:32

Rumors about rapper Tony “Montana 700” McDowell being arrested spread online after a recent YouTube video went viral. The video, uploaded by a channel named Rap Thread, claimed he was facing federal charges. However, no real evidence supports this claim, making the arrest rumors false.

Fake Arrest Claims Go Viral

The video was a 19-minute compilation of Montana 700 clips with a dramatic narration. It accused him of illegal activities and linked him to fellow artist Zillionaire Doe. But the YouTuber did not show any proof, police report, or official source.

Soon after this video went public, Montana 700 posted new Instagram Stories, clearly showing he is free and active. This confirms the arrest rumors are fake.

Old Video Sparked New Confusion

Months earlier, an old clip resurfaced on Instagram page @texxposedtv. It showed a young Montana 700 being detained at a school. During a February 2025 interview with Dallas Observer, he admitted spending time in youth detention but said it was part of his past—not a recent arrest.

Montana 700’s Early Life & Rise

Born Anthony McDowell on November 15, 1999, in Oak Cliff, Dallas, Montana 700 grew up in a tough environment. He faced hardship, lost many friends to violence, and struggled in the streets. A conversation with his late friend Mark Dean Burnough inspired him to start rapping.

He honored Mark by placing his gravesite on the back of his mixtape “700 Reasons,” released in 2025.

New Dallas Movement

Montana 700 is a strong voice in the “New Dallas” rap movement, which was introduced by Zillion Doe. He describes it as music that unites artists and tells real, timeless stories.

He once said: “To switch lanes and feed your family—that’s like winning a championship in the streets.”

Despite tragedy and loss, he remains one of the few from his circle still alive and free.

Is Montana 700 Arrested?

No. There is no confirmed arrest, no legal case, and no official statement. The viral video is clickbait, and fans should rely on verified news, not rumors.
