Pakistan Not in Arms Race with India, Says DG ISPR
Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry visited the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI) in Topi, Swabi.
During his visit, Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif met with students and faculty members. He discussed Pakistan-Afghanistan border security, the role of social media, and national security challenges.
The DG ISPR said that Pakistan had taken strong and effective actions against the militants hiding in Afghanistan. He stressed that the Pakistan Army will always remain a strong defensive wall against any form of aggression.
He added that the armed forces of Pakistan are fully prepared to protect the country’s borders and ensure peace at all costs.
Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif described the youth as the hope and strength of the nation. He said that the country’s progress and stability depend on the active participation of young people in every field.
“Our youth hold the power to shape the bright future of Pakistan. Their dedication and hard work are the key to national success,” he stated.
During the event, students and teachers paid tribute to the martyrs and veterans of Pakistan for their sacrifices in defending the nation.
Students also appreciated the Pakistan Army’s efforts in maintaining peace and responding strongly to every enemy threat. They said such sessions should be organized more often to counter disinformation and propaganda on social media.
They further added that the role of the Pakistan Army in restoring peace and supporting development across the country deserves great respect and recognition.
