Who Is Kaz Sawyer? TikTok Star Faces Death Threats After Trespassing Into Singapore’s Marina Bay Infinity Pool

29 October, 2025 11:58

TikTok influencer Kaz Sawyer has landed in hot water after pulling off a daring — and illegal — stunt at one of Singapore’s most iconic landmarks, the Marina Bay Sands Infinity Pool. The 24-year-old social media star, known for his challenge and adventure videos, is now facing massive backlash and even death threats online.

Kaz Sawyer’s Fame and Online Presence

Kaz Sawyer is one of TikTok’s most popular content creators with over 8.7 million followers on TikTok, 1.7 million on Instagram, and 8.7 million subscribers on YouTube. His content usually features risky pranks, travel challenges, and social experiments with friends — the kind that often go viral for pushing boundaries.

The Singapore Stunt

On October 19, 2025, Kaz uploaded a video showing him and a friend trying to sneak into the exclusive Marina Bay Sands Infinity Pool, which is only accessible to hotel guests.

At first, Kaz approached the hotel’s front desk, where staff politely informed him that only registered guests could swim in the pool. However, they allowed him to visit the rooftop bar Cé La Vi, which overlooks the pool.

Unwilling to stop there, Kaz claimed he booked an “expensive” reservation at the bar — but later admitted he wasn’t staying at the hotel. After spotting tight security around the pool area, he and his friend reportedly found an employees-only access door. When that didn’t work, they allegedly climbed over a wall and entered the pool area.

The entire act was filmed and posted online, sparking immediate outrage among Singaporeans.

Public Backlash and Legal Concerns

Singaporeans quickly flooded his comment section, warning him that local laws are strict and authorities don’t take trespassing lightly. Some even compared it to infamous past cases like:

  • Michael Fay (1994) — an American teen who was caned for vandalism.

  • Oliver Fricker (2010) — a Swiss man jailed and caned for trespassing and graffiti.

While there is no confirmation yet that Kaz has been reported to the police, many fear he could face serious punishment if Singaporean authorities decide to investigate.

Kaz Sawyer’s Response

On October 28, 2025, Kaz addressed the controversy in a follow-up video, saying the entire incident was “blown out of proportion.” He stated that he meant no disrespect to Singapore or its laws and only wanted to make a “fun, harmless viral video.”

He also claimed he’s been receiving death threats and threats of jail time, urging followers not to believe everything online. Kaz neither confirmed nor denied whether the video was staged but ended his post with an apology to Marina Bay Sands and anyone offended by his actions.

Where Is Kaz Sawyer Now?

According to his latest updates, Kaz Sawyer has since left Singapore and is currently in Turkey. It remains unclear whether Singaporean authorities plan to pursue any action against him.
