According to military sources, twenty khwarij belonging to the group Fitna al Khwarij were killed in two separate engagements over the past two days.
Security Forces launched an intelligence-based operation after receiving reports about the presence of khwarij in the Shawal area of North Waziristan. During the operation, troops effectively engaged the militants’ positions, killing eight Indian-backed khwarij.
In a separate operation in Dara Adam Khel district, Security Forces conducted another intelligence-based mission. After a brief but intense exchange of fire, twelve more khwarij were neutralized.
