Lucky Ali Opens Up About Stepping Back from Bollywood
Mumbai: Singer Lucky Ali, famous for hits like O Sanam and Ek Pal Ka Jeena, has shared rare insights into his Bollywood journey and why he stepped away from the industry.
In an interview with Navbharat Times, Ali revealed that he distanced himself from Bollywood in 2015 after feeling creative fatigue and personal loss following his father’s death.
He said, “In 2015, I distanced myself from the industry. People had misbehaved with me, but it wasn’t toxicity that drove me away — it was the monotony. After my father’s death, I felt there was nothing left for me there. I didn’t even have friends.”
Ali also spoke about how some people mistreated him at the time, but he was mostly focused on his grief and didn’t have close friends in the industry for support.
The singer added that his upbringing influences how he sets high standards as a father, reflecting his personal values and experiences.
