Game of Thrones: Legends Gets Major Update With Beyond the Wall Faction

Game of Thrones: Legends is preparing for a major update that will bring a new faction, fresh Champions and several gameplay changes to the popular mobile game.

The upcoming update will introduce Beyond the Wall, replacing the existing Free Folk faction as part of a wider plan to reorganise the game’s factions and improve the way Champions are used.

The new faction will focus on the Reinforce mechanic. This piece will let players to take extra Champions into battles, giving them more techniques to strengthen their squads and take on challengers, according to Zynga.

The new faction will also contain several familiar characters and beings from the Game of Thrones creation. Bran Stark, the Night King, Ice Warden and Icy Viserion will line the game as Legendary Champions.

Zynga has also revealed that Ice Warden is a character created specifically for Game of Thrones: Legends. The character is described as a lieutenant in the White Walker army and does not appear in the original HBO series.

The update is expected to arrive in late September 2026 and could become one of the biggest changes to the game’s roster so far.

The overhaul will also introduce the new Sun’s Dominion faction, expand existing factions and make sure every Champion belongs to a faction. Players can also expect more dual-faction Legendary Champions, changes to faction bonuses and new stats, including Gem Resistance, Crit Resistance and Resilience.
