Field Marshal Asim Munir Meets Tajik Defence Minister to Strengthen Security Ties

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Asim Munir received Tajikistan Defence Minister Colonel General Sobirzoda Emomali Abdulrahim at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Thursday.

The meeting focused on matters of regional security, bilateral defence cooperation, and mutual interests between the two countries.

Both leaders discussed ways to enhance military-to-military collaboration, especially in areas like training, counter-terrorism, and regional stability. The Tajik Defence Minister praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Army and highlighted its role in maintaining peace in the region.

Field Marshal Asim Munir emphasized the importance of collective efforts for regional security and prosperity. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening defence and security ties with Tajikistan.
