Nvidia earns $4,000 in profit every second – Here’s how
Nvidia has announced the strongest quarter in its history, thanks to record demand for its AI hardware. In its Q3 2026 earnings report, the company shared that it sold more AI chips than ever before. This helped Nvidia cross its own expectations and reach a record $57 billion in revenue. That means the company made almost $4,000 in profit every second.
The main reason behind this massive growth is Nvidia’s data center division. This segment brought in $51.2 billion, which is a 66% increase from the same quarter last year. It also grew by $10 billion in just one quarter, showing how important this division has become during the global AI boom.
Investors are closely watching Nvidia’s data center business because they believe it reflects the overall strength of the AI industry. Even though some people worry whether this fast growth can continue, Nvidia expects strong demand to stay. The company forecasts $65 billion in revenue for Q4, meaning it needs another $8 billion jump in the next three months.
CEO Jensen Huang said the company is selling every AI server chip it can make. “Blackwell sales are off the charts, and cloud GPUs are sold out,” he said. In an interview with Bloomberg TV, he later clarified that supply is still available, adding, “We’ve got plenty of Blackwells to sell you, we have lots of Blackwells coming.”
Nvidia also shared that the Blackwell Ultra chip is now its best-performing product across all customer groups. The previous Blackwell generation is also seeing strong demand.
On the gaming side, Nvidia’s revenue grew 30% year-over-year, which is good news for the company’s Blackwell gaming series. The RTX 50-series GPUs had mixed reviews at launch, but sales are now improving.
During the investor call, Huang also responded to questions about a possible “AI bubble.” He said the company sees a completely different situation from inside the industry. According to him, AI has reached a major turning point. He repeated Nvidia’s belief that AI will change computing forever and said the shift toward agentic and physical AI systems will be “revolutionary.”
