Gold price per tola remains stable in Pakistan
Gold prices in Pakistan stayed unchanged on Friday. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of one tola of gold remained at Rs426,562, while 10 grams of gold were sold for Rs365,708, the same as before.
A day earlier, on Thursday, the gold rate had dropped by Rs5,000 per tola, bringing it to Rs426,562.
In the international market, gold prices also remained stable at $4,042 per ounce, including a $20 premium. However, the price of silver in Pakistan went down by Rs107, reaching Rs5,222 per tola.
Globally, gold prices slipped slightly on Friday. This happened after a stronger-than-expected US jobs report, which signaled that the US Federal Reserve is not likely to cut interest rates in its December meeting.
As of 0242 GMT, spot gold was down 0.1% at $4,072.87 per ounce, while US gold futures for December delivery rose slightly by 0.3% to $4,071.90 per ounce.
