WhatsApp launches new text status feature like Instagram notes
WhatsApp has launched a new status update feature that lets users post short text updates, similar to Instagram Notes. This allows people to share what they are doing, what’s new, or even why they might not be available to chat.
According to WhatsApp, users can use this feature to start conversations or simply keep their contacts updated. The company has also made the “About” section more visible and interactive, so it’s easier for others to see your updates.
Now, your contacts can see your About status at the top of their one-on-one chats. They can tap on it to reply directly, making communication quicker and more personal.
Users can choose how long their status stays visible by setting a timer, and they can also control who can see it—either just their contacts or a wider audience.
This update makes sharing short text updates on WhatsApp simpler and more engaging for everyone.
