PTI Asks NA Speaker to Help Arrange Meeting With Party Founder

Opposition senators and members of the National Assembly (NA) met with NA speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Friday.

Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Barrister Gohar led a delegation that met the Speaker of the NA in his chamber. During the meeting, Barrister Gohar raised the issue of the founder of PTI’s family members and party leaders not meeting him, stating, “You are a senior politician; you have been helping us before. Now, kindly please play your role for the meeting.”

Asad Qaiser, Allama Raja Nasir Abbas, Latif Khosa, Amjad Ali Khan, Shahram Tarakai, and other leaders were the attendees in the meeting with the NA speaker.

Following the meeting, PTI leader Asad Qaiser, addressing the media, said that the speaker has informed the NA about the party’s basic demands. We want a meeting between the founder’s family and party leaders.

The delegations also demanded the issuance of a notification for the appointment of the opposition leader. On the other hand, Ayaz Sadiq in return said that he will respond to the PTI by tomorrow. In case the PTI’s demands are not met, they will not allow the parliament to function. In fact, the opposition delegation will also meet the Senate Chairman on Monday.
