ANA Cancels 65 Domestic Flights Due to Airbus Software Issue
All Nippon Airways Co. (ANA) announced on Saturday that it has canceled 65 domestic flights following a software problem reportedly affecting thousands of Airbus SE planes worldwide.
With 34 of ANA’s A320 aircraft requiring a software update, the cancellations are expected to impact approximately 9,400 passengers traveling through Haneda Airport in Tokyo, as well as airports in Tottori, Saga, and other prefectures, the airline said.
Japan Airlines Co., another major Japanese carrier, confirmed that its fleet remains unaffected by the issue.
Airbus identified the root cause, stating, “intense solar radiation could corrupt data critical to the functioning of flight controls.”
The airline is working to resolve the issue promptly to minimize disruption for affected passengers.
