Afghan Terror Network Exposed in Pakistan
An organized network of Afghan nationals involved in terrorism in Pakistan has been publicly exposed after the arrest of a suspect, Qasim alias Hassan, son of Lal Khan, from Tala Gang. During interrogation, the arrested individual admitted that an Afghan operative invited him to join “jihad” and recruited him into their network for terrorist activities in the country.
The suspect claimed that he belongs to the Dawlatzai tribe and is originally from Gardez Province, Afghanistan. He further stated that he came to Pakistan from Afghanistan with his family 10 years ago and settled in Lakki Marwat.
According to the arrested suspect, “We grew up here, earned a living, and received a lot of love from the people. I met Taliban commander Armani in 2025 in Sardarga.”
He revealed that he initially spent 20 days with the organization, during which Commander Armani asked him to sacrifice himself. The commander allegedly recruited him and another individual, Farooq, for a suicide attack on the military fort in Tajori. However, due to a lack of opportunity, they were unable to carry out the attack.
The suspect said that he later rejoined the organization on the instructions of Commander Armani, who then ordered him to find new recruits. The arrested individual claimed he handed over five men to the commander and received Rs. 10,000 for each recruit.
He further stated that in September, on Armani’s instructions, he traveled to Punjab to look for more recruits. After spending a few days there, he was arrested by the police.
Authorities claim that the confessional video of the arrested suspect is clear evidence of the use of Afghan soil for terrorism in Pakistan. Pakistan has repeatedly presented what it describes as undeniable evidence of such activities to the international community.
