Junaid Safdar, the son of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and grandson of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, is set to remarry, with details of the upcoming wedding now revealed. The news has attracted public attention due to the Sharif family’s prominent political background.

Junaid was previously married to Ayesha Saif, but the marriage ended, and since then he has maintained a low public profile.

According to senior politician Sheikh Rohail Asghar, Junaid will marry Shanzay Asghar, the granddaughter of Sheikh Rohail. The two families were introduced through Junaid’s younger sister, Mahnoor Safdar, who is a close friend of Shanzay. After the introduction, the Sharif family sent a formal marriage proposal, which was accepted by the bride’s family.

Wedding Events and Schedule

The wedding celebrations will be held in Lahore from January 16 to January 18, 2026, across different venues:

• Barat Ceremony: At Lake City, Lahore, with guests from across Pakistan.
