New Delhi: Raihan Vadra, the son of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, has got engaged to his longtime girlfriend Aviva Baig after seven years of dating. The proposal took place on a personally significant day for the couple, marking seven years of their relationship.
Sources close to the family say a private engagement ceremony is scheduled for December 31 in Ranthambore, Rajasthan, a destination closely associated with the Gandhi-Vadra family. The wedding is expected to take place in early 2026.
A Personal Milestone After Seven Years
Raihan Vadra, 25, proposed to Aviva Baig on the anniversary of their relationship. The engagement has been kept largely private, with only close friends and family in attendance. Ranthambore was chosen for its emotional value, as the family frequently visits the national park and considers it a special retreat.
Raihan Vadra: A Creative Path Beyond Politics
Despite belonging to one of India’s most prominent political families, Raihan Vadra has largely stayed away from public life. He studied at The Doon School, following the educational path of his grandfather Rajiv Gandhi and uncle Rahul Gandhi, before completing his higher studies in politics at SOAS University of London.
Raihan is best known for his work as a photographer, focusing on street and wildlife photography. In 2021, he held his first solo exhibition titled Dark Perception. His interest in visual storytelling reportedly deepened after an eye injury in 2017, which shaped his artistic outlook.
Who Is Aviva Baig?
Aviva Baig is a former national-level football player and a creative professional. She studied Media Communication and Journalism at OP Jindal Global University and currently works as an interior designer, photographer, and producer.
She is also the co-founder of Atelier 11, a photography and production house. Aviva has used visual art to highlight social issues, including her exhibition You Cannot Miss This, showcased at the India Art Fair.
Families With Longstanding Ties
The relationship is rooted in a long friendship between the two families. Aviva’s parents, businessman Imran Baig and interior designer Nandita Baig, have known the Vadra family for years. Nandita Baig has previously collaborated with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on interior design projects.
Raihan and Aviva first met while studying in Delhi and remained together as they pursued their respective creative careers.

Following a small gathering in Delhi, the families will travel to Ranthambore for the engagement celebrations on New Year’s Eve. The natural setting reflects the family’s shared interest in wildlife and privacy.
