Karachi; Fire Erupts at Cardboard Factory of Nazimabad No. 4

Fire Breaks Out in Koral Islamabad, 3 Injured in Blaze
KARACHI, January 24, 2026: A fire erupted in a cardboard factory in Nazimabad, Karachi, on Tuesday, prompting an immediate response from the fire brigade and rescue teams.
According to officials, the blaze started at Nazimabad No. 4. Seven fire brigade vehicles were dispatched to the site to control the fire. Rescue 1122 teams also joined efforts to manage the emergency.
The exact cause of the fire is not yet known. Fire brigade spokesperson confirmed that two fire tenders were actively working to bring the situation under control. Investigations into the cause are ongoing.
This incident comes days after the tragic Gul Plaza fire in Karachi, which raised serious concerns over negligence and safety lapses in commercial buildings. Authorities had registered a case eight days after the Gul Plaza fire, attributing the tragedy to the negligence of unidentified individuals.
The FIR for the Gul Plaza fire stated that proper safety arrangements were missing at the time of the blaze. Lights and several exits were reportedly closed, which worsened the situation and caused significant damage. Officials said that after further investigation, names of responsible individuals would be formally included in the case.
The fire in Nazimabad is currently under control, and no casualties have been reported so far. Rescue teams are working to ensure complete safety in the affected area.
