MQM Pakistan leader and Federal Minister for Health Mustafa Kamal once again called for Karachi to be immediately taken under federal control.
Talking to private media outlet, Mustafa Kamal said that an important city like Karachi should not be under the control of an incompetent provincial government like the Sindh government. Karachi should be made part of the federation immediately. The federation can control Karachi through a notification. The federation should take control of Karachi under Article 148.
He said that the Gul Plaza tragedy happened, people were martyred, we called it injustice due to the negligence and performance of Gul Plaza, this is the attitude of calling injustice injustice, so I say again that Karachi should be freed from their clutches, this move by the Sindh government supported the MQM’s position.
When asked about withdrawing security from MQM Pakistan leaders, Mustafa Kamal said, “Security has also been withdrawn from me. It doesn’t matter if we have security or not. They think they will scare us by withdrawing security. They have no right to remain the rulers of Karachi. The Sindh government cannot suppress our voice by taking such steps.”
The federal minister said that the people of Jai Sindh stand on the highway and shout slogans to break Pakistan, the Sindh government provides them security, they are destroying Pakistan with their actions.
He said that a letter has been written to the federal government and this is being discussed in the cabinet meeting as well. The entire federal government and the state are listening to our position. The world goes to the moon and our children are falling into the gutter. No one is talking undemocratic or unconstitutional. We will also talk to the PPP that they are doing this to us and are creating enmity with us.
