Prince Harry’s Spring Events and Royal Event Dates Clashed
Prince Harry is headed to attend a major event as a keynote speaker at this year’s International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) Global Summit in Washington, DC, but the tension is that the major royal event in which the king and queen will appear was just held a day before Harry’s event.
Prince Harry’s spring event will deliver a speech as a humanitarian and mental health advocate from March 30 to April 2, according to our event coordinators: “In honor of Data Privacy Day, we’re excited to announce that Prince Harry will join us on the main stage at IAPP Global Summit 2026.
The Duke of Sussex’s keynote of the event is ‘He will share his insights on whether today’s digital world is breaking or bridging society.’
The key date of the royal calendar, the Maudry, will take place April 2, Thursday.
Every year, the event distributes special Maundy money to local senior citizens, and the event is watched by several people.
King Charles attended this event almost every year after takeoff to the throne, but 2024, he was absent because of experience in the cancer treatment.
The Global Summit managers described Harry as a ‘humanitarian, mental health advocate, environmentalist, and military combat veteran.’.
They said his work has been shaped by his efforts to create ‘positive and lasting change for communities and the planet, particularly in advancing conversations around resilience and healing.’
They said, ‘Prince Harry is a respected voice on global issues and in recent years has delivered impactful keynote addresses at the United Nations General Assembly and the Clinton Global Initiative.’
