MUMBAI: Social media was buzzing on Monday after images allegedly showing Salman Khan in a new role called “Bade Sahab” in Dhurandhar: The Revenge went viral. Fans quickly shared the visuals, creating excitement and speculation, even though the film’s team has not confirmed his involvement.

What Are the Viral Images About?

The images show Salman Khan standing on a balcony in a commanding pose, alongside Arjun Rampal as Major Iqbal and Sanjay Dutt as SP Aslam. Online fans called the trio a powerful new on-screen alliance. Rumours suggest “Bade Sahab” could be an underworld don, possibly inspired by Dawood Ibrahim, which added to the buzz.

Closer inspection reveals that the images are AI-generated and purely speculative. A disclaimer clearly states that neither Jio Studios, B62 Studios, nor filmmaker Aditya Dhar has confirmed Salman Khan’s participation. So far, neither Salman Khan nor the film’s makers have responded to the rumours.

The speculation comes as the sequel already generates excitement. Earlier on Monday, the makers released the first-look poster of Dhurandhar: The Revenge. Director Aditya Dhar and lead actor Ranveer Singh announced that the official trailer will drop at 12:12 PM. Dhurandhar: The Revenge is scheduled for release on March 19, 2026, coinciding with Eid, Gudi Padwa, and Ugadi. It will be available in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. The film is written, directed, and produced by Aditya Dhar, with Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar as co-producers.

While fans continue to speculate, Salman Khan’s role as “Bade Sahab” remains unconfirmed, and the viral images should not be considered real.
