Bank timing in Ramadan 2026 Announced

Islamabad: The State Bank of Pakistan has announced the official working hours for all public and private banks during the holy month of Ramadan 2026. The revised timings will remain in effect throughout the entire month to facilitate both bank employees and customers observing fasting hours.

Expected Start of Ramadan 2026

Ramadan in Pakistan is expected to begin on Thursday, February 19, 2026, or Friday, February 20, 2026, depending on the sighting of the moon. If the month of Shaban completes 29 days, Ramadan will start on February 19. If Shaban completes 30 days, the holy month will begin on February 20. The moon sighting meeting is scheduled for the evening of February 18, 2026.

Bank Office Working Hours

According to the State Bank, the official office hours for banks during Ramadan will be:

Monday to Thursday:
09:00 AM to 03:00 PM

Friday:
09:00 AM to 12:30 PM

Public Dealing Hours

The timings for public transactions at bank branches will be as follows:

Monday to Thursday:
09:00 AM to 02:00 PM

Friday:
09:00 AM to 12:30 PM

Normal Timings After Ramadan

The State Bank clarified that once Ramadan ends, all banks will resume their regular working hours as per the standard schedule.
