PM Shehbaz Sharif Reaffirms Solidarity with Saudi Arabia in Call with Crown Prince

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, during which he reiterated Pakistan’s condemnation of the recent attacks by the Houthis against Saudi Arabia. The prime minister expressed complete solidarity with the Saudi leadership and people, warning that such actions posed a threat to regional peace and security and could further disrupt the global economy and energy supplies.

Shehbaz Sharif praised the Saudi leadership for its wise and forward-looking handling of the current crisis and conveyed his best wishes for Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. He said Field Marshal Asim Munir and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar would continue efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability in the region.

The Saudi Crown Prince appreciated Pakistan’s continued and steadfast support for Saudi Arabia and its efforts to promote regional peace and stability. The two leaders agreed to maintain close communication and expressed their desire to meet in person at the earliest opportunity.
