Indonesia Shows Interest in Defence Cooperation with Pakistan Air Force

Indonesia has expressed interest in cooperating with the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) to enhance its defense capabilities.
According to the military’s media wing (ISPR), Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu paid an official visit to Indonesia, where he met with President Prabowo Subianto. The meeting underscored the long-standing brotherly partnership between Pakistan and Indonesia. President Prabowo expressed a keen interest in collaborating with the PAF to bolster Indonesia’s defense capabilities and modern training systems by leveraging Pakistan’s expertise.
The Air Chief also held high-level meetings with the Indonesian Defense Minister and senior military leadership, where he was presented with a formal guard of honor at various locations.
The two air forces agreed to increase joint training exercises and professional exchanges. Furthermore, the meetings included detailed discussions on enhancing mutual cooperation within emerging aerospace sectors.
According to the ISPR, the Indonesian Air Chief lauded the combat experience of the Pakistan Air Force and conferred the Indonesian Air Force’s highest medal of honor upon Air Chief Marshal Sidhu. The joint sessions concluded with a comprehensive discussion on various defense and security issues.
