Petrol price in Pakistan likely to increase from 16 February 2026
The Government of Pakistan is expected to announce an increase in petrol prices effective from 16 February 2026.
According to reports, the price of petrol may go up by Rs4.39 per litre. If approved, this increase will directly affect daily commuters and motorcycle riders across the country.
High-speed diesel is also expected to become more expensive. Its price may increase by Rs5.40 per litre. This could raise transportation costs, which may also lead to higher prices of food and other goods.
The price of kerosene oil is likely to increase by Rs4 per litre. Many people in rural areas use kerosene for cooking and heating, so this change may affect them the most.
Light diesel oil may see the biggest increase. Its price is expected to rise by Rs7.05 per litre.
If these proposed increases are approved, fuel prices across Pakistan will go up, adding more burden on the common people.
