Bajaur, Islamabad, South Waziristan Attacks Linked to Afghan Terrorists
Evidence has confirmed that a suicide bomber in Bajaur’s Malangi Post attack was an Afghan national. The attacker was identified as Kharji Ahmed, also known as Qari Abdullah Abuzar, a resident of Balkh province in Afghanistan. He had also been part of the Taliban Special Forces.
The attack killed 11 security personnel and two civilians. This incident clearly shows the role of Afghan nationals in terrorism in Pakistan and highlights the support and facilitation provided by the Taliban regime.
Cross-Border Terrorism Pattern
Experts say terrorism in Pakistan has long links with operations from Afghan territory.

On October 19, 2025, a suicide bomber caught in South Waziristan, Nematullah son of Musa Jan, was from Kandahar province in Afghanistan.
The Bannu Cantt attack planning on March 4, 2025, was confirmed to be linked to Afghan nationals.
Facilitators of the Jaafar Express attack on March 11, 2025, were in constant contact with Kharji Noor Wali hiding in Afghanistan.
On September 3, 2024, arrested suicide bomber Rohullah admitted that terrorism was being planned from across the border.
Taliban Support for Terror Networks
Experts say:
Afghan Taliban provide shelter and resources to terrorist organizations.
Over 70% of terrorism incidents in Pakistan involve Afghan nationals.
Taliban’s irrational policies and backing of terrorists have repeatedly sabotaged Pakistan’s peace efforts.
These findings show that terrorism in Pakistan is not only a domestic issue but also involves organized networks operating from across the Afghan border.
