Prince William Speaks Out at BAFTA Awards: ‘Not in a Calm State’

Prince William gave insight into his mindset after his uncle, ex-Prince Andrew, was arrested last Thursday. where he was asked about the movie “Hamnet.” one of the best picture nominees for the evening.

In response the future King – who is the president of BAFTA – confessed he “needed to be in a calm mood” to watch the historical drama directed by Chloé Zhao.

He told to Daily Mail “I need to be in quite a calm state, and I am not at the moment. I will save it.”

Though, the future Queen Kate Middleton, said she had watched the emotional film and it’s deeply moving.

This appearance of Prince and Princess of Wales came during a difficult time for the royal family, despite that, the future King and Queen maintained a composed and professional presence throughout the event. Kate stunned in a blush-colored Gucci gown while Will looked sharp in a Giorgio Armani burgundy velvet evening jacket and black pants.

According to PEOPLE, Prince Andrew was arrested on Thursday, 19 February on suspicion of misconduct in public office. Moreover, some reports suggested that some emails by Andrew allegedly hint that official briefings and trade-related information were forwarded to Jeffrey Epstein. But still, he was free after 11 hours since he could not be in remand for 24 hours without formal charges.

According to reports, Prince Andrew was under arrest at near Anmer Hall ,Wood Farm on the Sandringham estate, where William and Kate regularly reside.
