Iran Condemns US-Israeli Attacks on Nuclear and Irradiation Facilities

Eslami also criticised the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for what he described as its failure to condemn US-Israeli attacks on Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities. He said non-nuclear installations, including refineries, petrochemical plants and irradiation centres operated by the AEOI, had also been targeted. According to Eslami, damage to such facilities could endanger human lives, environmental safety and future generations. His allegations regarding the targeting of these installations and the resulting risks were not independently verified in the reported remarks.
The AEOI chief also accused US President Donald Trump of applying double standards by prioritising nuclear power development in the United States while opposing Iran’s pursuit of similar technology. Defending Iran’s nuclear program, Eslami praised Iranian scientists and researchers for developing capabilities he said were essential to medicine, public health and scientific progress. He argued that nuclear technology could support healthcare, protect the environment and save lives, questioning why Iran should be denied access to technology it considers vital to its national development.
