Rs20 fresh currency notes bundle rates in open market before Eidul Fitr 2026
As the last Ashra (ten days) of Ramadan begins, people in Pakistan are preparing for Eid al-Fitr 2026 celebrations. A popular tradition during this time is that elders give cash gifts to children, called “Eidi.” Children enjoy spending this money on shopping, food, and fun activities during the festival.
Demand for Fresh Rs20 Notes
For Eidi, many people prefer fresh currency notes, especially Rs20 notes. These notes are usually available at banks across Pakistan, including the State Bank of Pakistan.
However, sometimes banks have limited stock, making it difficult to get fresh Rs20 bundles. In such cases, people buy them from the open market.
Price of Rs20 Note Bundle in Open Market
In the open market, fresh Rs20 note bundles are sold at higher prices. Normally, a bundle of Rs20 notes is worth Rs2000, but buyers have to pay extra to get fresh notes.
Currently, a Rs20 bundle is being sold for Rs2200 to Rs2400 in the market.
Expected Date of Eid 2026 in Pakistan
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Pakistan’s official moon-sighting body, will meet on March 19 to sight the Shawwal moon, which marks the start of Eid. The meeting will be held at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, while zonal committees will also meet in their respective cities.
According to predictions by SUPARCO and weather experts, the Shawwal moon is unlikely to be seen on March 19, so Eid al-Fitr is expected to fall on March 21, 2026 (Saturday) in Pakistan.
On the first day of Shawwal, Muslims offer the special Eid prayer, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
