Toyota increases vehicle delivery charges in Pakistan
Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) has increased the freight charges for delivering its vehicles across Pakistan. The company said the decision was made because fuel prices and transportation costs have gone up.
According to the company, the new freight charges are effective immediately and will apply to vehicles delivered through Toyota’s dealership network across the country. The company shared this update with its dealers through an official notice.
IMC explained that higher fuel prices have increased the cost of transporting vehicles from its manufacturing plant in Karachi to dealerships in different cities. Because of this, the company had to revise the freight charges.
However, the company confirmed that the ex-factory retail selling prices (RSP) of its vehicles in Karachi have not changed. This means the base price of the vehicles remains the same. But customers may still pay a higher final price because freight charges are included in the dealership invoice at the time of delivery.
Toyota vehicles assembled in Pakistan are shipped from Karachi to other cities, so delivery costs depend on the distance. Customers living in cities far from Karachi may see a larger increase in the final delivery cost compared to buyers in southern areas.
The company also said that the new freight charges will apply to all Toyota vehicles across the country. The policy will be valid for “Good to Go” full payment orders recorded in the IMC system. Customers must submit the full payment NCS by March 17, 2026.
IMC added that the revision reflects the rising cost of transporting vehicles and said the company will continue to monitor fuel prices and other operating expenses.
